Stan Dunham

Stan’s career, and life, has always centered around his love of creating. At the age of 30 he took his first carpentry class and his love of woodworking took hold. While his classmates were perfecting dovetail joints, Stan dreamt outside the drawer boxes. He decided to build a fiddle. He did and it was actually playable.

For the last 25 years Stan has maintained a close relationship with the medium of wood - building one-of-a-kind furniture pieces, custom cabinetry, playhouses for children’s hospitals and his latest obsession…six-foot skateboards…

Today Stan is the creative mind of Stanwick Dunham. He has a knack for problem solving and an impressive eye for detail. When Stan’s not on a construction site or in the wood shop, he and his wife Charlotte can be found in Washington NC, restoring their 38 foot Shannon sailboat or adventuring in the mountains or at the coast in his tricked out Sprinter Van.

Jeff Stanwick

Jeff may be the only person you’ll ever meet who admittedly loves to spend hours below a house cleaning a dirty crawlspace - it’s one of the many unique things we love about him. Growing up in Wisconsin he worked the fields of his neighbor’s 9,500-acre farm for “fun.” He earned his civil engineering degree from UNCC while working full time as construction estimator.

Jeff thrives in challenging environments and has a keen ability to problem solve his way out of any challenge. Those skills coupled with an undying work ethic have afforded him the opportunity to build some of the most challenging and beautiful homes in the Charlotte area over the past 25 years. Jeff’s leadership and veteran knowledge are the backbone of Stanwick Dunham.

Jeff is an avid outdoorsman, when he’s not on a construction site (or under a house) he can be found wading through a creek in the North Carolina mountains with a fly rod in his hand. He and his wife Stephanie are die-hard Appalachian State fans and spend many Saturdays throughout the fall in Boone cheering on the Mountaineers!

Bryant Rogers

Bryant would be the first to tell you that his love of building was more or less stumbled upon. When choosing what to study in college he went with what he thought would be an easy major (Construction Management) and to his surprise he fell in love. Bryant grew up in a house where there was always some sort of renovation in progress. Bryant’s father, a builder himself, helped familiarize Bryant with the in’s and out’s of construction at a young age.

Bryant’s fun loving attitude in tandem with a solid work ethic has helped win him the admiration of clients and subcontractors alike. Bryant is a firm believer that job sites can and should be fun places to work.

After graduating from Appalachian State in 2013 he married his college crush, Madisson, and returned to Charlotte where he quickly established his career running large renovation and new home projects. In his free time Bryant enjoys exercising, volunteering at his church, traveling with Madisson and relaxing at home with his bulldog, Monkey.

Mike Davids

Mike is known as the most likable Yankee we know. A true self-starter with a fascination of how things work, Mike grew up on Long Island in a family of carpenters. At an early age Mike knew that he wanted to work with his hands. At age 20 he was leading his own framing crew and at age 23 started his own framing company building some of the most complex homes in the Lake Norman and Charlotte area.

His years spent framing have helped shape him into a detail oriented, driven and fun project superintendent. Mike is loved and well respected by all who know him.

In his spare time, Mike puts his skills to use for good, organizing and leading trips to Appalachia where he helps repair and rebuild homes in one of the most poverty stricken areas of West Virginia with an organization called Appalachia Service Project (ASP). Mike (like the rest of the men of Stanwick Dunham) married way up. He and his wife Melissa have been married for 18 years and have a 4 year old boy named Dylan.

Charlotte Caponi

Charlotte is the fuel of our firm. Her official title is controller and it’s fitting because she is always just that - in control. Charlotte has spent the last 20+ years of her career in the world of custom home building - managing the office and financials of some of Charlotte’s leading home builders. A shared company vision and personality fit led her to joining Stanwick Dunham only 1 year after our inception.

Charlotte runs our office with a keen attention to detail and the warmth that makes it feel like a home away from home. She is endlessly forgiving when the men track their muddy boots through the office and makes sure a pot of coffee is always at the ready - she can always be counted on.

When Charlotte isn’t at the office you can find her with family. She and her husband Marco love spending the weekends at dance competitions, talent shows and soccer games cheering on her talented grand children. She loves the outdoor and enjoys hiking with her pups by her side.

Brian West

Brian comes to Stanwick Dunham through a 20 year career in custom home building in the Lake Norman area.  He built commercial floating dock systems while graduating from University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a Finance degree and minor in real estate.  An opportunity came up to build custom homes on Lake Norman and he jumped on it.

Since being in the industry Brian has crafted some of Lake Norman’s finest homes and has a great reputation with his clients.  His love for building, his attention to detail and problem solving ability is a valuable asset to Stanwick Dunham.

In his spare time Brian enjoys spending time with his two children and black lab.  He loves time out on the lake, hanging with friends and is a passionate soccer fan.

Mike started in construction as a “fill in” job while he decided what he wanted to be when he grew up….. 18 years later, he is still doing it!  With a long history in residential remodeling, Mike was always conscious of producing a product he could be proud of and knows quality is worth the extra effort.

Throughout his career, Mike has always been bridging the gap between office and field work. Managing projects from both ends and ensuring attention to detail in all he did. Here at Stanwick Dunham he has traded his hammer for a keyboard. You will find Mike plugging away in our office processing construction documents but don’t be surprised to find him out on the job sites too. But who can blame him, it’s hard to keep a construction guy indoors.

Mike is the proud father of a 16 year old boy, Marcus, and awesome husband to his lucky wife of 18 years, Sue. He grew up in Boy Scouts where he achieved the rank of Eagle Scout along with both of his brothers.  To this day he still loves the outdoors and can often be found off the beaten path with his dog Frank.
